I love telling great stories and making the world a better place. My passion lies midway between the two.
The storytelling bug bit me early. As a second grader, I used my class journal to write elaborate mysteries that my teacher confessed to eagerly anticipating each week. Years later, when many friends put on concerts for their high school senior projects, I launched a website advocating the school’s drama program.
Then, after grad school, I landed a job writing grants and managing a blog for a homeless services agency. That's when I discovered my love of storytelling could support meaningful, real-world change.
Depending on your goals, your story needs to be told in different ways. I have experience crafting compelling stories in a broad range of styles, from technical to conversational. This includes grant proposals that have won more than $30 million, blog posts, web content, and individual fundraising campaigns that have raised anywhere from $50,000 to $400,000.
My educational background encompasses two degrees in writing: a bachelor’s from Emerson College and a master’s from the University of Edinburgh. Professionally, I've spent the last decade writing, editing, and developing content and proposals, including more than eight years in the nonprofit sector.
I'm passionate about supporting nonprofits doing great work in our communities, and I want to help your organization tell its story.
